But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God,
which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. - 1st Tim. 3:15

Statement of Beliefs

  1. ONE TRUE GOD - We believe that there is one true God whose name is Yahvah. And that he is the Creator, Preserver, and Ruler of the Universe. And that he is infinite in Holiness and all other perfections, to whom we owe the highest love, reverence and obedience. (Deut. 6:4; Eph. 5:4; Isa. 43:10-11; Lev. 11:44-45; 2 Chron. 16:9)

  2. JESUS CHRIST - We believe that Jesus Christ took on the nature of man, being tempted in all matters of life; coming as the Messiah to redeem man. In order to accomplish said redemption had to suffer the indignation of the cross, as the ultimate sacrifice for sin. We further believe that Christ did truly rise from the grave, after being entombed for three days and nights (72 hours) and took again his body, wherewith he ascended into heaven, there making intercession for man, until he shall return to claim his saints. (John 1:1,14; John 3:16,17; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 12:2; 1 Peter 2:21; Daniel 9:26,27; 1 Cor. 15:3-5; Heb. 7:25; Matt. 12:40; Acts 7:55-56; 1 Peter 1:3)

  3. HOLY SPIRIT - We believe that the Holy Spirit comes to lead the true believer into all the facets of God's law and will; the receipt of which is necessary for receiving eternal life. And that to be filled with the spirit means to be controlled by the spirit as expressed in Ephesians 5:1-9. We further believe that the Baptism of the Spirit and all the gifts of the spirit are for us today. (John 14:26; Eze. 36:27; John 16:13; John 3:3-5; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12th Chapter; Matt. 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; Ephesians 4:11; Acts 1:5)

  4. THE SCRIPTURES - We believe that the Holy Bible was divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instructions; of which God is the author, with salvation for its end; and truth for its matter; so that whatsoever is not read therein, nor may be provided thereby should not be believed as doctrine. (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16; Gal. 1:6-9)

  5. SANCTIFICATION - We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of his Holiness. We also believe that this is a progressive work; that is begun upon receiving the Holy Spirit, and is carried on in the heart of the believer. We further believe that the Seventh Day Sabbath is a sign of our sanctification. (John 17:19; Rom. 5:11; Eze. 20:12; 2 Thess. 2:13; Ex. 31:13)

  6. HOLINESS - We believe that from creation God intended for man to be holy and without blame. And that the scriptures tell us that holiness without no man shall see the Lord. We further believe that holiness is not a denomination as some suppose, but it is a life in which God and His laws reign supreme. (Lev. 11:44; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Heb. 12:14; Ephesians 1:4; 1 Thess. 4:7)

  7. BAPTISM - We believe in baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. We further believe that all who would become members of the church MUST be baptized in the name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38; Matt. 3:16; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:48; Rom. 6:3; Acts 4:12; Acts 19:5; Col. 3:17)

  8. TEN COMMANDMENTS - We believe that the Ten Commandments of God are still in effect and shall remain in tact throughout eternity. We also believe that keeping the Commandments of God is evidence of Salvation. (Ex. 20:1-17; Matt. 28:20; John 14:15; Rev. 22:14; Rom. 7:7,12)

  9. SEVENTH DAY SABBATH - We believe that the weekly or Seventh Day Sabbath (Saturday) as instituted by God, at creation, and observed by Jesus while on earth, is still the correct day of worship for believers. We further believe that it is incumbent on all true Christians to assemble themselves on that day in obedience to the command of God. (Gen. 2:2; Ex. 20:8-10; Lev. 23:3; Luke 4:16; Acts 17:2; Acts 18:4)

  10. ANNUAL HOLY DAYS - We believe that the annual feasts given in Leviticus chapter 23 were ordained by God, given to ancient Israel, and continued by the New Testament Church. We further believe that these feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles, picture the complete plan of salvation. (Exod. 12:1-27; Lev. 23:1-44; Zech. 14:16-19; John 7:8-10; Acts 2:1; Acts 12:3; Acts 20:6; Acts 27:9; 1 Cor. 5:8; 1 Cor. 16:8)

  11. THE CHURCH - We believe the Church is the community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. We join together for worship, for fellowship, for instruction in the word, for service to mankind, and for the proclamation of the gospel. The Church gets its authority from Christ, who is the incarnate word, and the scriptures which are the written word. (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Colossians 3:15; Eph. 4:11-15; Col. 1:18; Ephesians 5:27)

  12. PROPHECY - We believe that the gift of prophecy is one of the identifying marks of the remnant Church. And that it is one of the gifts given by Jesus for the edifying of the Church. (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:14-21; Rev. 12:17; Rev. 19:10)

  13. SIGNS AND WONDERS - We believe that signs and wonders shall follow the true believers of Christ. We shall be able to cast out demonic spirits, speak in other tongues, be able to take up deadly serpents, and consume deadly substances without harm, and shall be able to lay hands on the sick and they recover. (Mark 16:17-18; 1 Cor. 12:9)

  14. RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD - We believe that all who have lived and died (and shall die) shall be resurrected and shall face judgment by Christ, with the righteous being granted Eternal Life and the wicked being sentenced to Eternal Death. (2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:12-15; Isa. 66:24; Rev. 22:14; John 5:29; Dan. 12:2; 1 Thess. 4:16-17).

  15. BODY, A SPIRITUAL TEMPLE - We believe that the body is the spiritual temple of God, and as such should not be corrupted with nicotine, strong drink, drugs, or other filthiness of the flesh. (1 Cor. 6:18-19; Prov. 20:1; Eph. 5:18)

  16. SELECTIVE DIET - We believe that God has sanctified selective foods for consumption by humans, and to eat otherwise is both unhealthy and a violation of God's divine will. (Lev. 11:1-47; Deut. 14:1-21; Isa. 66:17; Eze. 4:14)

  17. DRESS - We believe it is incumbent on all Christians to dress and adorn themselves with modesty as not to attract undue attention to themselves. (1 Tim. 2:9; 1 Peter 3:3-17)

  18. TITHES - We believe that the first fruits of your increase should be brought to the Church as a tithe, and that not to do so will cause ill success in daily life. (Prov. 3:9; Mal. 3:8-12; Gen. 14:18-20; Gen. 28:22; Matt. 23:23)

  19. HOLIDAYS - We believe that the observance of NEW YEAR'S, VALENTINE'S DAY, EASTER, HALLOWEEN, and CHRISTMAS should be abstained from by all true Christians, for they have their origin in PAGAN RITUALS. (Deut. 12:30; Jer. 10:1-3; Rev. 22:15)

  20. CIVIL OBEDIENCE - We believe it is the duty of all Christians to be subject to the authority of the government of the country in which they reside, except when said body shall enact laws that are contrary to God's laws as found written in the Holy Bible. (Heb. 12:14; Matt. 22:21; Rom. 13:7; 1 Pet. 2:13; Acts 5:29)
